Hello friends,
I am really pleasured, that in other countries are fans of skoda!Let me to introduce to you,
my name is Stepan and I am 25yrs old. I live in Budweis (south Bohemia – maybe you know Budweiser Budvar beer).I have got one 1968 Skoda 1000MB, I am the second owner which I bought a few months ago.
Ofcourse I want to chat and meet with people which has the same passion. Otherwise I want to help you with finding of car parts or informations in czech republic. Dont be affraid to ask me!

Nice car you got there, not so many nice 1000MB around any more!! Thanks for your offer for parts and welcome to the Forum! It would be nice to see you also on one of our " Ausfahrten" (=Tours) in Austria; as I said, not so many 1000MB around any more…

Thank you, at first I want to have perfect technical condition of my skoda. I am not so brave to ride somewhere far now. Maybe if You will have some meeting near Czech borders 🙂 By the way I dont know nothing about Austrian law, maybe I could have a problem with local policemans… I am little bit affraid to ride abroad at now, but I hope that the time will come and I will travel all around the europe with oldtimer skoda:-)

its made in March 1968, for this serie is usual typical thin rear side post, older models was with positioning light. And this car was grey. But first owner parked this car on the street and during the night some drunk dickheads walked over the car in 1972. It was bad damaged. The owner was technical constructer, in that communistic time, and he has a lot of friend. So for him was quicker and cheaper to change total body with original skoda paint. (this paint was used on last 1000MB in 1969 – rare paint at this car). In the past, during the comunism, wasnt easy to buy new part! Even skoda factory had not enough of parts! 😆
Central part of these last type of 1000MB bodies is same like at first skoda 100!Here in czech are still lots of skoda 1000MB in really rare good condition, but nowadays owners wants too much money for them… up to 11.500,-eur … I think that is impossible to sell the car with this price. Time to time is possible to buy nice piece about 770,-eur.

Don`t be afraid of the austrian police there is nothing to fear about.i will go to Česká Skalice tomorrow with my 110R for the big 40 year anniversary celebration.
so in october we will meet in tulln again an hacve only a short car trib with our skodas.
talking about spareparts how about front ignition light old version. is it possible to get this? -

do you mean only the orange glass or complete blinker? There are two types. one with drop shape and other designed to connect with plastic molding… see pictures

hallo, bin ich neu hier und stelle Freude in Aussicht über soviel blinkende Anzeige durch die Vertunnelung auf europäischer Straße durch das Gesetz. Hoffe es kommt trotzdem zur Kontraktion mit der umgebenden Saxivität. Freue mich, dass reges Interesse hier auch von benachbarten Ländern kommt in Einklang.

Wir möchten euer Club an diese Treffen einladen. Foto von letze 5. Jahre sind an disen Seiten: http://kaplice.spartaky.cz. Die Treffen ist von Freitag nachmittag bis Sonntag mittag. Am Samstag vormittag ist kleine Rennen, nachmittag eine Ausstelung im Kaplice Stadtplatz und Abend im Camp feiern ganze Nacht. Am Sonntag ist klein Ausflug mit ÜBERRASCHUNG am ende.
